The eFLASHER unit is designed to alert the user (PC or MAC) when they are too far from the monitor, working on the desk while can't see the "ring-flashing" monitor, cannot hear the speaker's sound, or monitor is turned off for saving electricity power. With the eFLASHER unit, the user will not miss any new incoming "e-mail/TTY/Video" computer signal calls such as "You've got mail" from the e-mail programs or any other internet-related programs such as AOL (i.e. AIM), ICQ, IP-Relay, etc. Other music or regular sounds from the computer will not make the eFLASHER unit to flash! Absolutely no flashing at all! All eFLASHER units come with a special switch feature. The switch contains a "soft flashing" mode which turns the light on and off slowly and gently for those who have the "sudden light flashing syndrome" (so-called in medical name of Petit Mal Epilepsy) to prevent seizures. eFLASHER I (Basic) is a low-cost and one simple function. eFLASHER II (Deluxe) is the same as above eFLASHER I but it comes with the additional features for doorbell and telephone lights. Consider it as an "all-in-one" box. eFLASHER III (Pro) is the same as above eFLASHER II, but it has wireless feature! It is great for X-10 users. With the proper connection, it will transmit to any remote wireless lamp receivers. The advantage of using X-10 is that the user can walk around any rooms in the house or office without missing any internet calls! eFLASHER IV (X10) is the same as above eFLASHER III, but minus doorbell and telephone lights. eFLASHER unit is ideal for every deaf computer & Networking client users! NOTE: For Broadband videoconference users, read below: The eFLASHER V & VI unit is also designed to alert the videoconference user when they are too far from the T.V., reading books on the couch while cannot hear the ringing sound, including telephone. With the eFLASHER V & VI unit, the user will not miss any new incoming IP-VRS, VRS, or videochat signal via Broadband ringing. eFLASHER VII & VIII comes with incoming computer call as explained at the very beginning of this page. eFLASHER V & VI model (EFL500 & EFL600) provides one (1) flash for each regular telephone ring and double-flashes (2) for each Broadband ring for a distinguished noticeable flashing signal lamp. And as well as to eFLASHER VII & VIII provides three (3) flashes for each computer call. eFLASHER V & VI model (EFL501 & EFL601) provides double-flashes (2) for each Broadband ring. No regular telephone ring is connected to this unit. For wireless X-10 users who want to walk around any rooms in the house or office without missing any Broadband calls, use eFLASHER VI & VIII series. eFLASHER V, VI, VII, & VIII unit is ideal for every deaf users who rely on Broadband videoconference devices such as D-Link's DVC-1000 or Sorenson's VP-100 for high-speed video connection for sharper pictures! |
